Autopsy Shows African-American Teen Kendrec McDade Was Shot Seven Times By Police
Last March, police received a report that a taco truck in Pasadena, California had just been robbed. According to a recently released autopsy report, the two officers who arrived to investigate this report ran down and eventually shot a young black suspect seven times:

Nineteen-year-old Kendrec McDade was shot at point-blank range by one Pasadena police officer and handcuffed after being struck by a total of seven bullets, according to the autopsy report released Friday by the Los Angeles County coroner’s office… . Three of the wounds — two in his abdomen and one in his right arm — are considered potentially fatal because they lacerated arteries, according to Pasadena police. One bullet entered through the back of the right arm and another the back of the right forearm.

McDade, of Azusa, was killed when Pasadena officers Jeff Newlen and Mathew Griffin responded to a report of an armed robbery at a taco truck in northwest Pasadena. One of the officers pursued him on foot and the other from his police cruiser.

The first officer who fired did so while seated in the patrol car as McDade approached with his hand at his waistband. McDade and the officer were “within a foot” of each other, according to the autopsy report.

It is not yet clear whether McDade was actually involved in the taco truck robbery or if he was merely a bystander. It is clear, however, that the police who shot McDade did so under a cloud of false information. McDade was not armed, and the alleged theft victim later admitted that he lied about his assailants having weapons in order to provoke a faster response by police.

McDade also does not fit the profile of the kind of person who would normally commit armed robbery. He has no gang ties or prior arrests, was a star football player in high school, and was a student at Citrus College at the time of his death.

*Strong Trigger Warning*

A Syrian journalist accused of reporting stories of Bashar’s atrocities to Al Jazeera is buried alive by Assad’s Army.

Lawyer: George Zimmerman will Surrender If Charged
George Zimmerman will surrender to authorities if he is charged in the shooting death of unarmed black teenager Trayvon Martin, his attorney said on Monday.
“If he’s charged, he will be arrested and he will turn himself in,” attorney Craig Sonner told Reuters in a telephone interview.
“However it goes, he’s not hiding from the authorities. If he is asked, he will turn himself in. There’s not going to be a manhunt or anything like that.”
Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer, fatally shot Martin on the night of February 26, saying he had acted in self defense. Police released him without charge and said there was no evidence to contradict Zimmerman’s story that he was attacked by Martin, 27.
The case has riveted the country, prompting demonstrations in numerous cities demanding that Zimmerman be arrested. Critics believe Zimmerman, who is a white Hispanic, was motivated by racial profiling in deciding to follow Martin and that race played a role in police accepting his version of events.
Sonner and Zimmerman’s relatives have said in interviews that he is not a racist and has been unfairly vilified. They said he feared for his life during his altercation with Martin and was justified in using deadly force.
Zimmerman remains free but in hiding. Special prosecutor Angela Corey has taken over the case and could announce soon whether she intends to charge him with a crime.
“We’re preparing for trial,” Sonner said. “We’ve done all we can except ask for discovery (evidence-sharing) from the state, which is not available to us yet” because Zimmerman has not been charged.

Police Called Out on False Medical Alert Kills 68 Year Old Black Veteran

As the Trayvon Martin case draws national attention, we look at another fatal shooting of an African-American male that has received far less scrutiny.

Kenneth Chamberlain, Sr., a 68-year-old African-American Marine veteran, was fatally shot in November by White Plains, NY, police who responded to a false alarm from his medical alert pendant.

The officers broke down Chamberlain’s door, tasered him, and then shot him dead. Audio of the entire incident was recorded by the medical alert device in Chamberlain’s apartment.

We’re joined by family attorneys and Chamberlain’s son, Kenneth Chamberlain, Jr., who struggles through tears to recount his father’s final moments, including the way police officers mocked his father’s past as a marine.

For them to look at my father that way, (with) no regard for his life, every morning I think about it,” he says.

An audio and video tape that may prove that police said a racial slur and acted unprofessionally is being withheld.

Emos And Gays Are Being Slaughtered In Iraq
Young people who identify themselves as so-called Emos are being brutally killed at an alarming rate in Iraq, where militias have distributed hit lists of victims and security forces say they are unable to stop crimes against the subculture that is widely perceived in Iraq as being gay.
Officials and human rights groups estimated as many as 58 Iraqis who are either gay or believed to be gay have been killed in the last six weeks alone — forecasting what experts fear is a return to the rampant hate crimes against homosexuals in 2009. This year, eyewitnesses and human rights groups say some of the victims have been bludgeoned to death by militiamen smashing in their skulls with heavy cement blocks.
A recent list distributed by militants in Baghdad’s Shiite Sadr City neighborhood gives the names or nicknames of 33 people and their home addresses. At the top of the paper are a drawing of two handguns flanking a Quranic greeting that extolls God as merciful and compassionate.
Then follows a chilling warning.

“We warn in the strongest terms to every male and female debauchee,” the Shiite militia hit list says.
“If you do not stop this dirty act within four days, then the punishment of God will fall on you at the hands of Mujahideen.”

All but one of the targets are men.

Students Protest US Soldier Who Killed Afghans
Hundreds of students in eastern Afghanistan are holding the first significant protest against a U.S. soldier who killed 16 Afghan civilians in a shooting spree.
The students shouted angry slogans on Tuesday against the soldier in the eastern city of Jalalabad and carried banners calling for his public trial.
Some of the protesters were constructing an effigy of President Barack Obama that they planned to burn.
Sunday’s killings in Kandahar province have caused outrage in Afghanistan. But they have not sparked the kind of violent protests seen last month after American soldiers burned Muslim holy books.
The more muted response could be a result of Afghans being used to dealing with civilian casualties over a decade of war.

Syrian Regime Systematically Killing Christians
As part of its campaign against all pro-democracy activists, the Syrian regime has been persecuting Christian citizens and clergy who take part in the revolution or help the revolutionaries. The Syrian regime issued instructions to all banks across the country to stop transactions with the Greek Orthodox Mariamite Church on charges of money laundry, said a Christian activist from the southwestern governorate of Rif Dimashq.

“This step was taken right after the church started receiving money from churches abroad to support Syrian revolutionaries,” he said.

The activist added that security forces killed Christian activist Friday Hossam Mikhail for links with the Free Syrian Army.

“A few weeks ago, the Syrian army also killed priest Basilius Nassar and state TV held terrorist groups accountable for his death.”

Nassar, the activist explained, used to deliver food to areas attacked by the Syrian army and was helping doctors out in Hama. The activist added that according to a priest who worked with him, Nassar was killed while rescuing a victim of an army attack in the Jarajmah neighborhood in Hama.
Syrian forces also fired a non-explosive missile at the Convent of our Lady of Saidnaya north of the capital Damascus after knowing that its monks were involved in delivering medicine and supplies to bombed areas. In addition to delivering supplies to victims, several churches in Damascus and other Syrian cities have been giving lectures against the Syrian regime and its brutal repression of peaceful protestors.

Black Libyans fear for their lives

Libya is home to a large minority of black Libyans, many of whom supported Muammar Gaddafi, the former leader, and some who fought on his side against the rebel uprising.

But since Gaddafi’s government was ousted from power, entire communities of black Libyans have disappeared without a clear reason, leaving virtual ghost towns behind.

Al Jazeera’s Anita McNaught reports from one such town, Tawergha, where remaining members of the community fear for their lives.

Marine gets no jail time in killing of 24 Iraqi civilians
Marine Staff Sgt. Frank Wuterich will not serve a jail sentence following his guilty plea in the killing of 24 Iraqis in 2005, a military judge said Tuesday.
The announcement by Lt. Col. David Jones came after Wuterich took responsibility during his sentencing hearing at Camp Pendleton for the killings in the Euphrates River town of Haditha and expressed remorse to the victims’ families.
Jones said he had planned to recommend 90 days in the brig — the maximum as requested by the prosecution — but that the plea bargain approved by Lt. Gen. Thomas Waldhauser had called for no jail time.
Wuterich, 31, was the last of eight Marines charged in the Haditha killings to have his case resolved. Six had the charges against them dropped, and one Marine was acquitted.
As the squad leader, Wuterich ordered his Marines “to shoot first, ask questions later” as they stormed two houses on Nov. 19, 2005, after a roadside bomb had killed one Marine and injured two others.

On Friday, as part of Fuck FBI Friday, the Anti-Sec branch of Anonymous hacked the website and email of Frank Wuterich’s lawyers.
The contents of these email messages include detailed records, transcripts, testimony, trial evidence, and legal defense donation records pertaining to not only Frank Wuterich but also many other marines they have represented.
And to add a few layers of icing to this delicious caek, Anti-Sec got the usual boatloads of embarrassing personal information. How do you think the world will react when they find out Neal Puckett and his marine buddies have been making crude jokes about the incident where marines have been caught on video pissing on dead bodies in Afghanistan? Or that he regularly corresponds with and receives funding from former marine Don Greenlaw who runs the racist blog http://snooper.wordpress.com?

Hi Neal,

This was done by someone who clearly knows what they are doing. Anonymous is one of the largest, if not THE largest group of hackers in the world at this time. They’ve taken down Sony, DoD and many others in recent months.
I’ve replaced their hacked version with a blank screen for right now (it’s the quickest thing to get theirs off of there). I’ve also updated the FTP password.
This isn’t like the previous hack where one file was replaced and it redirected. In this case Anon was able to gain FTP access directly to the server and remove ALL files to your site. We’re working on restoring the backups now, and looking to see how far this attack went.
At this time, it only looks like the web files were removed, but the database was left intact and untouched.
We’re going to have to lock down not only the front end (as done previously), but we are going to have to limit the IP addresses that can access anything to do with the server.
Unfortunately, there are a couple things to consider with this one:
- This was clearly not a random attack.
- If this truly is anon, it may not be limited to just your site or just this one attack. Currently, your domain is on a web server that hosts some of our other sites and clients as well. It may be a good idea to host your site on a fully secured private web server. This can run from $400 - $2,000 per month. On a shared server, the other domains could be vectors for possible access to your site as well.
- Anonymous is a little out of my league. Since you are being targeted, I would suggest hiring a specialist for this type of matter. I’d be more than happy to help you select one, but it seems that someone dedicated to ensuring the security on an ongoing basis and can have 100% control over the server and site may be the direction needed at this point. RackSpace and similar companies offer managed solutions that may cover what is required.
As far as reporting this, and to who, I must admit that I’m not exactly sure. I believe it would be the FBI. Here’s a government resource I was able to find on the matter: http://www.cybercrime.gov/reporting.htm

Please feel free to give me a call on my cell phone to discuss further.
619-618-9994.

With Best Regards,
Micah

Hi Neal,

There wasn’t any sensitive information attached to the website that I know of. It was a database of publicly available blog posts.

However, there is one concern that I have: Shortly before this attack, we got the notice of the email password at Google being changed or being updated. With their “email” claim and the fact that they had access to the FTP site (which may have been obtained through email communications), it may also be possible that they were able to hack into Google’s Mail servers.

The first thing to do would be to change the admin and all the passwords on all the accounts at Google Mail.

- Micah

It’s down now. Mike says it’s the organization supporting Bradley Manning. But yes, of course it’s the result of Haditha.

Partner,

Just FYI. I got a phone call from Epstein who says the PFC Bradley Manning supporters just jacked our website. I sent an emergency message to Chief Ingredient to take it down.

Micah,

News agencies are reporting that our website was hacked and that the hackers claim our emails and sensitive personal information was taken.

Is that possible?

- Micah

Al,

All of the firm’s emails were stolen today by “Anonymous” the international hackers. All because we won the Wuterich case. Beware.

May want to change your passwords to your email accounts. Any emails between you and me may have been captured and could be released onto a website.

Just FYI.

Anonymous also hacked BDNNews.com and leaked a 16 minute FBI phone call regarding Anons on Friday. Expect Moar.

This happened more than a year ago (but just recently made it’s way into the media), and to this day, no one has gone to jail or even been reprimanded.
Nick Christie, a 62-year-old Ohio man visiting Florida, was arrested for drunk and disorderly conduct.
While in custody, Christie was gagged, stripped naked and tied to a chair. A lawsuit against the Lee County Sheriff’s Office alleged Christie was pepper sprayed 10-12 times over 48 hours, leading to his death.
Call the sheriff’s office and demand the police be fired and arrested.

#WhistleblowingWednesday: US Fires 1st Drone in Pakistan in 6 Weeks; 4 Dead
The U.S. carried out its first drone strike into Pakistan since errant November airstrikes by U.S. forces killed two dozen Pakistani troops along the Afghan border. The latest missile attack killed four militants, three of them Arabs, according to Pakistani intelligence officials.
The drone strike took place Tuesday near Miran Shah in North Waziristan, an al-Qaida and Taliban stronghold that has been pounded by the U.S. since the drone program began in earnest in 2009.
While there has long been some level of agreement by Pakistan over the drone attacks, their scope and frequency has been a source of friction between the two countries.
An American investigation into the November airstrikes concluded that a persistent lack of trust between the U.S. and Pakistan, and a series of communications and coordination errors on both sides, led to the attacks. Pakistani officials have rejected that probe and there has been little public sign that relations between the two countries are improving.
There were more than 60 drone attacks last year, significantly less than in 2010. The attacks have killed scores of militants, among them several mid- and high-ranking commanders.
Human rights activists in Pakistan and abroad have reported significant civilian casualties as a result of the strikes.
The U.S. says the strikes are accurate, but doesn’t publicly investigate the allegations.
